Considerations for Selecting Degree This program is designed for transfer to Radford University in Computer Science or similar programs at other universities. It includes a large general education component, calculus, and Java programming. Students interested in transfer level Computer Information Systems should consider that specialization at WCC. Students interested in entering the workforce after graduation should consider WCC's Information Systems Technology degree program.

In the last number of years, the potential for telecommuting jobs has increased significantly. This will allow you to live where you want and work for a company or organization anywhere in the country. This program provides a strong foundation in programming and data structures so you are ready to transfer to a 4-year university to specialize in a particular aspect of software engineering.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion Students who transfer with a completed Associate degree will be awarded SDV 100 and will have their transcript evaluated for other individual course transfer. Students who transfer with a completed Bachelor degree from a U.S. college or university will be awarded SDV 100, ENG 111 and ENG 112. The transcript will be evaluated for other individual course transfer.
