Considerations for Selecting Degree The computer science degree is a very structured program focusing on computer science skills that relate to our knowledge of the technology workplace. It offers small classes, many with a hands-on focus, taught by faculty (not teaching assistants). Students have the opportunity to minor in related fields such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data science, and the way that electives are built into the program encourages this.
Considerations When Selecting Courses

It is recommended that you take the following courses to prepare to transfer to this program: CSC 200; CSC 201; CSC 202; MTH 245; MTH 263 and MTH 264.

Program Requirements Beyond Specific Courses This program is part of the School of Technology and Innovation and students participate in a variety of courses and activities with students in information technology, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Minors exist across all these disciplines,
Doing More With Your Degree The computer science degree provides students with a workplace-ready culture where students can write, work on teams, give presentations, and operate with high-level of ethics, to name a few non-technical attributes of our graduates. The program offers many out-of-classroom activities engaging with our alums and other prominent people in the tech field. Students can also participate in honors societies such as the Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE).
Program Successes & Highlights The program boasts a very diverse faculty from around the world with backgrounds in the military, industry and academia. The technology and computer science programs have male and female students from diverse backgrounds, but with the common interest of succeeding in a changing and growing field.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion Completion of a transfer-oriented associates degree program will fulfill the majority of the university's Liberal Arts Core (general education) requirements but may not fulfill specific departmental requirements or prerequisites for the major. Students will be required to complete a designated theology course at Marymount. Marymount also accepts the UCGS and Passport programs to meet Liberal Arts Core requirements.
