Averett University
Averett offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in two majors: Computer Science and Computer Information Systems. In addition, Averett offers minors in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, and IT Project Management. The purpose of courses in this department is to train students in the techniques, theory, and applications of computer science and information systems as well as in specific programming languages and computer systems. The two majors give students sufficient training to pursue any of the following: 1. A career in the public or private sector in a computer-related position. 2. Additional education at the graduate level in the areas of computer science, business, management information systems, and other quantitative fields.

Completion of Associate Degree Concurrent with High School | Students who complete an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science through dual enrollment credits are treated as first time freshman but have the same rights and privileges of transfer direct from the community college setting.
