The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business is offered in several concentrations. Within the Business major, students may concentrate in the following areas: Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Financial Services, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. The School of Business uses the same standards for admission as the University. Non-matriculating students may not take courses in the School of Business without the consent of the Department Chair and Dean. Students transferring courses to NSU may be granted advanced standing.

Doing More With Your Degree | A student majoring in Business, regardless of the concentration, could either major or minor in Accountancy. The two degrees have about the same course requirements, except for 18 credit hours. This will make it easier for the student to double major and obtain two different degrees. |
Program Successes & Highlights | The School of Business benefits from the tremendous support of its Advisory Board. This is a group of successful individuals at the executive level of a number of companies from a variety of industries such as banking, healthcare, and transportation. The Advisory Board provides financial support through scholarships that have benefited a considerable number of successful School of Business students. This is in addition to assisting students with securing internships at their respective companies. Over the years, the retention and graduation rates have fluctuated. Between Fall 2016 and Fall 2020, the retention rates were between 60% and 74%, and the six-year graduation rates were between 27% and 55% (cohorts: Fall 2010 to Fall 2014). |

Associate Transfer Degree Completion | Completion of the general education certificate or a transfer-oriented associate degree program will guarantee completion of the University Core general education component of the NSU undergraduate curriculum but may not fulfill specific departmental requirements or prerequisites needed for the major.
