Eastern Shore Community College
Eastern Shore Community College
Eastern Shore Community College, established in 1971, is the place to go on the Shore for higher education, workforce development, continuing education, and community education. You can start out at ESCC and end up in a rewarding career through our career and technical education programs or academic transfer programs. ESCC offers six transfer Associate's degrees with guaranteed admission agreements to more than 25 Virginia four-year institutions. The College also offers GED preparation and testing, customized training, non-credit and personal enrichment courses. Why choose ESCC? More than 50% of our students receive some form of financial aid, based on financial need and/or academic performance. Our tuition and fees are approximately 35% of public four-year institutions and 10% of the average private institution. We offer rigorous online, in person and hybrid classes, in person or online, that you can tailor to fit your schedule. Our classes taught by faculty, not by teaching assistants and the student to teacher ratio is low. ESCC offers many support services including advising, financial aid, learning resources, and more. Our best technology is available to all students. We serve a diverse group of students in terms of ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, and public/private/home-school background. The advisors in Student Services offer personalized assistance that one does not get at a larger institution.
