Considerations for Selecting Degree Do you like mathematics? Do you have strong math skills? Do you enjoy working with real-world scenarios that involve mathematical applications?   Are you interested in pursuing a mathematics major?  If so, the AA&S degree in Science with a Specialization in Mathematics program is designed to help you transfer to a 4-year college/university if you are interested in a career in pure or applied mathematics or mathematics education. The career opportunities are endless: education, mathematics, operations research, pre-law, pre-medical, statistics, actuarial science, etc.
Considerations When Selecting Courses

  • Create a schedule for all required courses, pay attention to prerequisites and when courses are offered, complete your first math and English courses in your first year

Program Successes & Highlights We offer a variety of STEM-Related courses in-person, online, and hybrid.   We have dedicated faculty who offer small classes for students to receive individualized attention.   You will study exciting topics in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Computer Science, English, Science, Humanities, and Social Science for the AAS Degree in Science with a Specialization in Mathematics.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion Students who transfer with a completed Associate degree will be awarded SDV 100 and will have their transcript evaluated for other individual course transfer. Students who transfer with a completed Bachelor degree from a U.S. college or university will be awarded SDV 100, ENG 111 and ENG 112. The transcript will be evaluated for other individual course transfer.
