Our students have excelled in the field in all their endeavors. We have federal law officers, local law enforcement officers, award-winning lawyers, and graduate students. Our students are particularly well-prepared for graduate school or law school but are successful in the fields they enter. They develop critical thinking, writing, speaking, and research skills in the major.

Student in this major will graduate with working knowledge of the Criminal Justice System (Cops, Courts, Corrections) and an understanding of the inequalities imbedded in the way we define and control crime (DEI).,/p>

Please note: Students enrolled at Randolph-Macon College attend classes primarily Monday-Friday between 8 am - 5 pm with very few evening courses. The large majority of RMC coursework is offered in-person and on campus. No more than one half of the courses on a major or minor can be transferred; at least one-half of the semester hours of the major or minor must be taken at Randolph-Macon.

Students should be able to complete the major courses in about two years. However, some introductory level courses in Sociology, Criminology/Criminal Justice, and Statistics may be helpful for background knowledge."

• Completing your Associate transfer degree post-high school satisfies all lower division general education requirements and increases the chance of completing your bachelor's degree?
