The BA in Government and International Politics teaches students to critically examine political issues, prominent actors, and processes in government, foreign policy, and international affairs.
Outcomes

All of our 100-level GOVT courses are available for transfer credit. You can complete courses equivalent to GOVT 101, GOVT 103, GOVT 132, and GOVT 133.

Doing More With Your Degree | Popular minors in the Schar School are Legal Studies and International Security. We have an active internship program with connections to careers. We encourage Government and International Politics majors to pursue Accelerated Masters programs in international security, political science, public policy, and public administration. |
Program Successes & Highlights | The Schar School hosts the Patriot Pre-Law Program offering workshops, personal statement support, and law school options. Students are supported and encouraged as they pursue internships, research projects, and other learning opportunities to build community, professional skills, and gain an additional edge in the job market. |

Completion of Associate Degree Concurrent with High School | Students who earn an associate degree through high school dual enrollment should still apply as freshmen and are not eligible for GAA. College coursework will be evaluated for transferable course credit. |
