Considerations for Selecting Degree	The Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary Education degree prepares students for licensure in Virginia. All teacher preparation programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Students are encouraged to participate in undergraduate research with faculty at Virginia Tech. Elementary Education teachers are one of the ten critical shortage areas in Virginia.
