The bachelor of arts program specializing in Health and Physical Education for PreK-12 teaching is a student-centered and project-based learning course of study. Class assignments include real-world application and have empowered students to develop business plans for their own health and wellness-related businesses, create reports as if they were owners of a stock car in the Daytona 500 NASCAR race, and organize and teach physical activity lessons in local high schools. Considerations When Selecting Courses |
If you are interested in teaching at the K-12 level, specific courses are required to meet state endorsement criteria. Most of these courses are in education and a broad spectrum of general education.You get to choose the concentration area from general science, history/social science, language and literature, and math.
