The demand in the supply chain industry and maritime logistics fields has increased dramatically in the last decades. The Supply Chain and Maritime Logistics program is designed to provide students with an integrated working knowledge of how goods flow globally and domestically from origin to destination using an array of storage facilities, information technology, and multiple transportation modes, with a special focus on maritime logistics. The graduates of this program will have the skills and proficiencies that are critical to regional, national, and international shipping, transportation, and distribution industries. The coursework balances theory and concepts with experiential learning connected to real-world problems. Courses are building on the disciplines of analytics, leadership, law, technology and transportation to examine the interdisciplinary nature of the global supply chains.

What If I Have An Associate Degree Or Credit For Prior Learning?

| Associate Transfer Degree Completion | Completion of the general education certificate or a transfer-oriented associate degree program will guarantee completion of the University Core general education component of the ODU undergraduate curriculum but may not fulfill specific departmental requirements or prerequisites needed for the major. |
Completion of Associate Degree Concurrent with High School | Students earning an associate degree while in high school are not eligible for guaranteed admission programs and must complete 3 college specific general education courses. All courses are evaluated and transferred as applicable to your degree. |
| Credit for Prior Learning | The Office of Prior Learning exists to aid ODU students in translating their professional work knowledge into academic credit. Through the use of various mechanisms, we are able to offer students the opportunity to have their prior learning assessed and applied for academic credit. This path may save the students both time and money as they work toward their degree.
