Learning Objectives and Outcomes
Expand or Shrink Accordion
  • Calculate measures of central tendency and measures of variation for various distributions and construct histograms, frequency histograms, frequency polygons, and ogive graphs.
  • Solve simple probability problems using probability rules, and use the multiplication rule, permutations and combinations to find the total number of possibilities for a situation.
  • Use the appropriate probability distribution to calculate probabilities associated with probability distributions, binomial distributions, normal distributions, and t- distributions.
  • Calculate confidence intervals conduct hypothesis testing for both small and large samples, and interpret the results.
  • Compute the correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, and the linear regression for a set of explanatory and response variables and use the resulting regression to make predictions.
