Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts

The Liberal Arts Associate of Arts degree represents the first two years of many four-year college or university liberal arts majors. A challenging core of requirements is augmented by transfer electives, which will be chosen from the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics.

Outcomes

After completing the first two years at MGCC, the student will be able to transfer into the third year of a four-year college or university liberal arts major. The Liberal Arts Associate of Arts degree supports transfer to study arts, literature, philosophy, music, and other liberal arts programs in four-year universities.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion We award SDV 100 credit for prior learning for transfer students who have completed an Associate degree or higher.

Completion of Associate Degree Concurrent with High School Students earning an associate degree while in high school are not eligible for guaranteed admission programs and must complete 3 college specific general education courses. All courses are evaluated and transferred as applicable to your degree.
