This program is designed to fulfill the Virginia state educational requirements for the certification of substance abuse counselor assistants CSAC-A). To meet substance abuse counselor assistant certification requirements, the applicant is expected to meet specific educational requirements including didactic and experiential learning with a supervised internship required.
