Considerations When Selecting Courses

  • Create a schedule for all required courses, pay attention to prerequisites and when courses are offered, complete your first math and English courses in your first year
  • Connect with an advisor at your community college and Southwest Virginia Community College within your first year via College Connect

Program Successes & Highlights The program's endowed chair has very broad contacts and provides opportunties that have taken students from Carnegie Hall to Europe. The program chair plays an active role in all instruction. The music department has its own stand alone building for practicing and interacting.
