What Should I Consider When Selecting Courses

Philosophy, statistics, introductory biology and anatomy and physiology I and II are prerequisites for this program of study.

  • Create a schedule for all required courses, pay attention to prerequisites and when courses are offered, complete your first math and English courses in your first year

Are there other program requirements beyond specific courses? Students interested in the nursing are encouraged to pursue prerequisite course in philosophy, statistics, anatomy and physiology and sociology to better prepare themselves for the major.
Do More With Your Degree 100% of nursing students graduate with offers for employment or graduate school. Also excellent preparation for various advanced degree programs including the Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and as medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and certified registered nurse anesthetists.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion Completion of an Associates of Arts or Associate if Science degree will fullfill all general education requirements at Wise with the exception of foreign language and four cultural activity credits. Depending on the major of choice, some general education courses may fulfil major requirements.

As long as program prerequisite courses are met in math, you can begin working on your major as soon as you are admitted to Wise!
