Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing
Associate of Applied ScienceMountain Gateway Community College
The Associate Degree Nursing program provides students with the classes needed to be eligible to apply to take the RN licensure examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse. Lectures, labs and clinicals are required. The program is nationally accredited by ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing).
Outcomes
This program prepares graduates with the course work necessary to be eligible to apply to take the RN licensure examination (NCLEX-RN) and is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. This program is also accrediated by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Students will then take a total of 8 CR Biology, 3 CR English, 3 CR of a Humanities elective, and 42 CR of Nursing courses to include clinical labs. |
