Mechanical Engineering Technology is a great fit for students who want to take a hands-on approach to mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering Technologists participate in the design, testing, and manufacturing of industrial machinery, consumer products, engines and other equipment. Virginia Peninsula’s AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology program prepares students for the Siemens Mechatronics Level I Certification Exam. The curriculum is grounded in math, science and engineering principles with practical lessons in computer-aided drawing and design, composite materials, hydraulics, and other technical areas.
