Mary Baldwin University
Mary Baldwin University o?ers a major in clinical laboratory science in a?liation with local healthcare facilities including Augusta Health Medical Center in Fishersville and Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. Students complete all Mary Baldwin graduation and requirements of the major on campus before beginning the clinical year at one of the a?liated schools. All partner hospitals are fully accredited, and their schools of clinical laboratory science are approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS). Upon completion of all Mary Baldwin University graduation requirements, including requirements for this major and the clinical year, the student graduates with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mary Baldwin University with a major in clinical laboratory science. Like other health professionals, the student must not only complete the degree requirements but also must pass the National Registry Examination in order to be certi?ed.

| Is This College Right For Me? | Mary Baldwin's size allows students to gain maximum benefit from work with faculty who teach and mentor them. The average class size is 17 and very few are larger than 30. Campus housing is available for transfer students, and the campus community creates a variety of social, cultural, and cocurricular activities. Students also become involved in the broader Staunton community because civic engagement is a hallmark of a Mary Baldwin education. Student-athletes can participate in 12 different men's and women's varsity sports. Approximately 20% of students take advantage of this opportunity. |
