Purpose: The Industrial Technology Career Studies Certificate (CSC) prepares students who are planning to work as Entry Level Technicians in industrial operations: building and maintaining equipment and systems that are controlled by electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices. The CSC is the first level of a three-level pathway to the Industrial Technology Certificate and then to the Associate in Applied Science degree in Technical Studies.
Outcomes
Students will be able to:
Identify typical tools and uses of a variety of devices including precision measurement.
Perform basic welding techniques.
Use refrigeration knowledge as learned for EPA Certification.
Assist in electrical tasks.
Realize the importance of safety in the industrial environment.
Understand principles of measurement and calibration.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion
Students must earn 25% of their credits at ESCC for an Associate degree from our institution. Students who transfer to ESCC with a completed Associate degree will be awarded SDV 100 and will have their transcript evaluated for other course transfer. Students who transfer to ESCC with a completed Bachelor degree from a U.S. college or university will be awarded SDV 100, ENG 111 and ENG 112. The transcript will be evaluated for other course transfer.
Completion of Associate Degree Concurrent with High School
ESCC does not distinguish between students earning an associate degree concurrently, while in high school, or after high school graduation.
