ENGR110: Introduction to CAD Design

This course immediately engages students in basic 3D navigation and design on a computer using Autodesk Tinkercad to create simple objects for 3D printing. The course quickly transitions students into learning more advanced methods of computer aided design using Autodesk Fusion 360. It covers basics of drawing designs in 2D, extrusion commands, applying dimensional constraints for parametric modeling, basics of finite element analysis and basics of mechanical simulations. The course ends with a brief discussion of renderings for visualization. (3)
