MATH142: Discrete Mathematics

Prerequisite: MATH major or permission of instructor. Introduces the student to discrete structures and mathematical tools which are used to represent, analyze, and manipulate discrete objects. These include sets, functions, relations, graphs, combinatorics, discrete probability, recurrence relations, mathematical induction, symbolic logic, and graphs and trees.
