Notes

 
  • The total transfer credits to complete a bachelor's degree may not exceed 90 credit hours. Students must complete at least 30 credit hours at Regent University.

  • At least 50% of major coursework must be completed at Regent University for BA, BEd, BM, and BS degrees

  • At least 70% of major coursework must be completed at Regent University for BFA degrees

  • Only courses that have a final grade of C or higher will be accepted as transfer credit

  • Students utilizing the Guaranteed Admission Agreement transferring 60 or more credits will not be required to complete the Christianity and Culture minor, an otherwise required minor for on-campus students

Guaranteed Admission Agreement Requirements

  • Complete an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate of Arts and Sciences (AA&S) degree

  • Possess a minimum 2.5 GPA on a four-point scale

  • Meet all degree requirements for associate degree, including a minimum of 60 credits

  • Please visit the TransferVirginia.org portal to find course requirements for different majors (Transfer Tools) and Transfer Guides that outline course requirements for specific majors. (Resource Center)

  • No letter of intent is required to apply for guaranteed admission.

  • Transfer Grant: Students may earn up to $2,000 via a Transfer Grant. Students must enroll in the fall or spring semester immediately following graduation from the VCCS institution.   • Students transferring to Regent University following completion of an AA, AS, or AA&S may receive a Transfer Scholarship, renewable with good academic standing and a minimum of half-time enrollment. Online: $250/semester for fall, spring, and summer semesters. On Campus: $250/semester for fall and spring semesters

What Should I Consider When Selecting Courses?

  • Create a schedule for all required courses, pay attention to prerequisites and when courses are offered, and complete your first math and English courses in your first year. For help, see Transfer Steps and Resource Center www.TransferVirginia.org

Which Majors Will Be Available To Me Through This GAA?

  • Transfer-oriented associate degrees include the Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), and Associate of Arts and Sciences (AA&S) degrees identified by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) as university-parallel transfer degrees.

  • Other degrees, such as Associate of Applied Science Degrees, are not eligible for the benefits of a Guaranteed Admission Agreement. However, Regent University transfers up to 90 credits toward a bachelor's degree. Credit will be reviewed individually and transfer credit assigned accordingly.
