Information for students planning to transfer to George Washington University's College of Professional Studies, upon completion of the associate degree.

Per university wide requirements, students are required to take 2 courses in critical thinking in the social sciences. GW considers anthropology a study in social science, and certain VCCS Humanities courses align with these topics in anthropology. Specific VCCS courses in the humanities have been indicated here that are comparable to GPAC (GW Gen. Ed.) anthropology courses offered: HUM 201/202 → ANTH 1002; HUM 210 → ANTH 1000 (DS: Gender at Work); HUM 216 → ANTH 3704; REL 230 → ANTH 1000 (DS: Religion, Culture & Power). 38 hours of electives must be completed prior to admission into any of the three Bachelor's Completion programs offered by the College of Professional Studies. Any course being transferred that does not fulfill a GW CPS GPAC (Gen. Ed.) requirement will be counted towards elective credit. This includes any 1-2 SDV credits, or any 3 history credits taken as a community college Gen. Ed. requirement. Any courses with grades of D or F will not transfer. For guidance on transferring any AP/IB/ or A-Level credit, follow the guide provided by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions here.
