Considerations for Selecting Degree  The Construction Technology Diploma in Carpentry program is designed to teach the technical skills needed for employment in the construction field. This diploma is a G3 program with stackable certifications. Level I and II certifications are based on the current Virginia adoption of the International Building Code (IRC). Completion of Level I and II certifications in the first and second semesters will count for one year of experience needed to sit for a Building Contractors License.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion Students who transfer with a completed Associate degree will be awarded SDV 100 and will have their transcript evaluated for other individual course transfer. Students who transfer with a completed Bachelor degree from a U.S. college or university will be awarded SDV 100, ENG 111 and ENG 112. The transcript will be evaluated for other individual course transfer.
