This program is designed for those seeking entry level employment in the Mechanical (HVAC) Trades and is a pathway to Virginia Tradesman Licensure. Courses provide building and construction training based on the current Virginia adoption of the International Building Code (IRC).

| Considerations for Selecting Degree | The Construction Diploma in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning is designed to teach the technical skills needed for employment in the HVAC field. This diploma is a G3 program with stackable certifications. Students can earn nationally recognized credentials through the EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Recovery, Employment Ready Certification for Heat Pump, Employment Ready Certification for Electrical, Employment Ready Certification for Brazing/Soldering/Flaring, and A2L Refrigerant Safety Certification. Completion of Level I and II certifications in the first and second semesters will count for one year of experience needed to sit for a Journeyman’s License. |
