Considerations for Selecting Degree The Construction Technology Diploma in Plumbing provides studies the technical skills needed for employment in the plumbing field. This diploma is a G3 program with stackable certifications. Students can earn nationally recognized NC3 credentials and an OSHA 30 card. Completion of Level I and II certifications in the first and second semesters will count for one year of experience needed to sit for a JourneymanÕs License.
Considerations When Selecting Courses

  • Create a schedule for all required courses, pay attention to prerequisites and when courses are offered, complete your first math and English courses in your first year
  • Connect with an advisor at your community college and Wytheville Community College within your first year

Doing More With Your Degree This program provides training and a pathway that can lead to a number of construction related credentials including Contractor Licensure, and OSHA 10-30 Construction Industry Safety Training.

Transfer Guidance Element What You Need to Know
Associate Transfer Degree Completion Students who transfer with a completed Associate degree will be awarded SDV 100 and will have their transcript evaluated for other individual course transfer. Students who transfer with a completed Bachelor degree from a U.S. college or university will be awarded SDV 100, ENG 111 and ENG 112. The transcript will be evaluated for other individual course transfer.
