The Practical Nursing Certificate at PVCC is a one-year program that prepares you to take care of patients in extended care and other non-acute care settings. These sites include nursing homes, assisted living centers, doctors' offices, clinics and private homes. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply for licensure after successful completion of the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
