CHEM211: Organic Chemistry I

Study of organic compounds based on the functional groups approach. Emphasis on physical and chemical properties, applications, reactions, mechanisms, syntheses, nomenclature, stereochemistry, spectroscopy, and molecular modeling. Three lecture hours and four laboratory hours. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or higher in CHEM 112. Four semester hours.
