Up to two years of a modern language not otherwise offered in the Ferrum College curriculum may be taken on independent study, provided the student has a legitimate need and a qualified instructor agrees to supervise the work. The Dean of Undergraduate Studies will determine on a case-by-case basis whether or not these provisions have been met.
