This introductory course provides an overview of educational foundations with a focus on the professional roles and responsibilities of elementary school teachers and quality metrics used to evaluate them. Preservice Teachers will explore historical origins and philosophical contributions to contemporary elementary classroom policy debates and instructional practices. 3 credits.
