Is This Degree Right For Me?
-
Radford offers a single, combined “Philosophy & Religious Studies” major. The Philosophy and Religious Studies major is ideal for curious minds who care about solving real-world problems, analyzing complex social and cultural data, and cultivating empathy and interest in other people. As a PHRE major, you’ll learn skills in complex problem-solving, moral, and ethical reasoning, and analyzing and understanding arguments. Philosophy & Religious Studies majors may earn either a Bachelor of Science degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree. The Bachelor of Arts degree includes language studies, which is recommended for students planning graduate work in philosophy, religious studies, history, or related areas of the humanities.
-
Through RU’s Philosophy & Religious Studies major, internships are available for you to practice and implement your skills; you get to complete a capstone project that is included in the culminating course; you’ll work with internationally recognized faculty who focus deeply on student learning and practical application of knowledge; you’ll have a relatively “lean” major that complements many other programs and can be completed as a second major.
-
With a PHRE major, you’ll join a community of students who are strengthening their analytical and critical thinking skills through reading, writing, speaking, and research. These skills are applicable to a wide variety of fields, and they are highly sought after by employers.
What Is The Impact On My Degree Of Work I Have Already Completed?
