General transfer guides provide students with non-major-specific course guidance and requirements at the community college and four-year college, as well as helpful information about school and career opportunities. It is intended for students who are undecided about their major or who are pursuing a major for which a transfer guide is not available. Students are encouraged to discuss their course plan with advisors in addition to consulting the general transfer guide.

If the Transfer Guide directs you to register your intent to use a Guaranteed Admissions Agreement or Guaranteed Program Admission Agreement, create an account in the Transfer Virginia portal and complete the form under College Connect in the blue toolbar. In the dropdown, Reason for Request, choose Intend to Use Transfer or Admissions Agreement. An advisor from that institution will reach out to you.
