A grade of C (2.00) or above must be earned in the course. Credit will be applied as equivalent ODU course work after evaluation by Transfer Evaluation Services (ODU Admissions) or other appropriate departmental faculty. Courses are evaluated by reviewing the course content (syllabus, assignments, catalog description) regardless of the mode of instruction. Graduate credit will not be accepted for undergraduate degree requirements. |
If You Complete an Associates Degree in High School | High School students are also eligible for this GAA, who have received an Associates of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associates of Arts & Sciences from Richard Bland College or the Virginia Community College System (including the A.A.&S. degree in general studies from a State Council of Higher Education for Virginia approved institution), and have met all lower-division General Education requirements except those specified as major or college requirements and requirements for completion of the Undergraduate Writing Program. Official transcripts should be submitted to ODU Admissions for processing upon submitting the application for admission to ODU. |

The Letter of Intent to Transfer should be submitted 90 days prior to graduation from a VCCS institution. Only students completing one of the following transferable degree programs are eligible to participate in this GAA: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Arts and Science, and Associate of General Studies (at State Council of Higher Education for Virginia approved institutions only) or approved applied Associates degree with certificate in general education designed and approved as part of the ODU/VCCS articulation agreements. |
