How are Dual Enrollment Credits Treated JMU may accept college credit that is earned while a student is concurrently enrolled in high school, called Dual Enrollment Credit. Each course taken at another institution is evaluated individually, and credit will be allowed only for equivalent college courses offered at JMU in which a grade of "C" or better has been earned.
If You Complete an Associates Degree in High School Student must take at least 24 credit hours after high school graduation
Key Additional Requirements Students must:
  • Complete the A.S. degree with Engineering specialization as outlined in the BRCC-JMU Agreement
  • Earn a minimum curriculum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; earn a grade of C or better in all required engineering, math, physics, and chemistry courses and technical electives
  • Admission is conditional based on availability of seats in the Department of Engineering
