This research course sequence is designed for freshmen using a 'learning by doing' approach to introductory biology. It is a hands-on, discovery course with an emphasis on critical thinking. Themes covered will be similar to BIOL 121, 132 with an emphasis on microbiology, molecular biology, genomics and bioinformatics.
