Students must have completed a philosophy (ethics) course and an introductory sociology course prior to program admission. These courses may be taken prior to or concurrently with the RN to BSN coursework.
Is This Degree Right For Me?

The purpose of the RN to BSN is a program for registered nurses who have either a diploma or an associate degree in nursing. It is designed for the working registered nurse. The courses are all online and the degree is intended to prepare the registered nurse for graduate studies for advanced practice nursing.
What Is The Impact On My Degree Of Work I Have Already Completed?

Associate Transfer Degree Completion: The completion of a transfer associate degree results in all lower-division general education requirements.

Dual Enrollment – Completion of Associate Degree in HS: The completion of an associate degree concurrent with high school results in 60 credits of coursework applied towards your degree and general education courses satisfied.

Credit for Prior Learning: UVA Wise accepts AP, IB, Cambridge, CLEP, DANTES, and military credits.

Catalog Year: Students will use the catalog for the entering year of study at UVA Wise.
