  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Sciences degree offers a broad-based, foundation degree for a variety of in-demand health and healthcare professions.

  • You can complete the program as a hybrid program (on-campus & online). All major classes are offered 100% online.

  • Full-time and part-time plans are available.

  • In this program, you will have personalized instruction and faculty advising. Your program offers small class sizes that enhance relationships.

  • The B.S. in Health Sciences degree is transfer-friendly. The 2+2 plan has 60 credits eligible for transfer from the Virginia Community College System.

 

What Is The Impact On My Degree Of Work I Have Already Completed?

  • Associate Transfer Degree Completion: The completion of the transfer-oriented degree program will satisfy the REAL Curriculum (lower division/general education) requirements. Students will need to complete all other University, college, and departmental requirements to obtain the baccalaureate degree from RU.

  • Dual Enrollment – Completion of Associate Degree in HS: Students completing the associate degree in high school should apply using the freshman application. If admitted, the student will receive the benefits associated with the transferable associate degree (as noted prior).

  • Credit for Prior Learning: AP, IB, and CLEP are evaluated for credits (based on receipt and evaluation of official scores).

  • Catalog Year: Students will be subject to the catalog in effect at the time of enrollment at RU unless otherwise requested.

  • Continue your education at Radford University by pursuing a Master of Healthcare Administration or M.S. Health Sciences degree.

  • The B.S. in Health Sciences requires the students to complete their Plan of Study with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. All program-specific courses require a minimum letter grade of “C” or higher.

 

Other Than Classes, Are There Other Program Requirements?

  • All students are required to complete two semesters of Service Learning and Civic Engagement (80 hours), an internship (240 hours), or collaborate with a faculty mentor to develop and implement a research-oriented capstone project.
