All earned credits from your completed Associates degree will transfer under the GAA, but it is important to take prerequisite courses prior to enrolling at Ferrum College if you plan to use the Ferrum Promise to complete your Bachelors degree in four additional semesters. |

Information for students planning to transfer to Ferrum College: Every Ferrum College Bachelor’s degree program is designed for transfer students to succeed. In most cases, your VCCS courses will have Ferrum College equivalents that will count towards the degree. Under the GAA, all earned credits count towards the required number of credits to earn the degree. It is important to select your general education courses and major electives to complete prerequisites for upper-level coursework for the Bachelor's degree. This agreement does not guarantee your enrollment in any specific major. Work with a Ferrum College transfer advisor to be certain that you will be eligible to enroll in the specific major you are interested in pursuing.

Provide an official transcript, including all final grades and documentation of the conferred Associate degree prior to enrollment at Ferrum College

This transfer guide demonstrates the general path to a bachelor's degree at Ferrum College. Completing the coursework above and including appropriate prerequisite courses will position you to transfer to Ferrum College in most majors with junior standing and the potential to graduate in two years. If you complete the associate degree but haven't taken all of the recommended courses, you may still be able to pursue a degree at Ferrum College, but your time to graduation may be impacted.
