How are Dual Enrollment Credits Treated VCCS courses taken through dual enrollment are treated the same as VCCS courses taken after high school and are subject to the same transfer-credit evaluation policies.
If You Complete an Associates Degree in High School Not applicable. This GPAA requires a VCCS Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and does not apply to an associate degree completed concurrently with high school graduation.
Key Additional Requirements VCCS AAS in Nursing with at least 64 credits; 25% residency at the degree-granting VCCS college; good academic standing and compliance with nursing ethical/technical standards; current unencumbered RN license and licensure in the state of the clinical practicum; passing NCLEX-RN score before admission; official transcripts from all colleges; students may begin in the session after successful AAS completion; completion of the AAS in Nursing does not satisfy all lower-division general education requirements; enroll at Radford within one year of degree completion. Co-enrolled students after one year of the AAS nursing program must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA in nursing courses and overall college work.
