Course Details

This course is designed to incorporate the study of the history of pharmacy and the role of pharmacy in US health care system, as well as an introduction to the FDA process for drug approval, essentials of prescriptions and basic pharmaceutical calculations. Students are introduced to the Pharmacist Patient Care Process (PPCP), and develop skills in the areas of collaboration, communication, and documentation.
